Unknown Soldier - The year 2011 is coming to an end. What a year! A year of disasters (Japan, Norway), revolutions (Egypt, Occupy movement) dead megalomaniacs (Osama bin Laden, Khadaffi, Kim Jong-il), Euro crisis (Greece, Spain). Just to name a few. You name it, the year 2011 had it. And what about all the unknown people who lost their lives of starvation, war, protest, etc? It's still going on unfortunately. What will the the year 2012 bring us? I hope the Mayans weren't right.... The photo depicts an half-buried dead ancient soldier. It's an sand sculpture that I shot with my camera some years ago on the beach of Noordwijk aan Zee / The Netherlands.
